This job board observation made me laugh

The company I work for has posted a job advertisement to a relatively well-known programmer's website. My boss and I often discussed doing so, and an opportunity came up to try it out, so he has. Unfortunately, we have not gotten any inquiries thanks to this job posting. I decided I would look around at other local postings to see what they might be doing differently.

I found a job posting that, were I seeking a job, sounds like it is from a company with rather capable developers. This company, which shall remain nameless, demands "expert knowledge" on this concept and that. They want people who have opinions on technology A versus technology B. And oh yeah, should they risk hiring a mere mortal of a developer, the job posting is for a 1 month contract which could be extended if you prove yourself.

Curious, I decided to check out this company's corporate website. One of their requirements was that a developer must have a complete understanding of ASP.NET including viewstate. So, imagine my surprise when I viewed source on their site's static-content pages and found viewstate variables that looked like this.

large ASP.NET view state

Perhaps the requirement indicates they are hiring a replacement for the person who allowed that unnecessary monstrosity into production.
